TrueDigs is built to hold as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no login, no passwords and no payments. It does not ask for your name, email address or phone number, and it sets no cookies.

What is stored

The only data TrueDigs keeps is what you type in: the places you travel to and the flats you add. In practice that is postcodes or districts, rents, bedroom counts, a bills-included flag, a budget, and travel settings such as whether you hold a railcard. None of it identifies you.

This is saved on your own device in your browser. It is copied to our database (Supabase) only when you create a share link, so that the link keeps working when you open it elsewhere or send it to someone. Each shared shortlist sits behind a long, unguessable random identifier, with no way to tie it back to a person.

What is sent to others

To work out journey times and locations, the postcodes you enter are sent to the Transport for London Journey Planner and to postcodes.io. They are used to compute your commute and are not kept by those services on your behalf. TrueDigs never fetches or scrapes listing pages; the only listing input is text you paste yourself, which is read in your browser and never sent anywhere until you save the flat.

Analytics

TrueDigs uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and aggregate: it does not set cookies, does not track you across other sites, and stores no personal identifiers. That is why there is no cookie banner.

Keeping and deleting your data

Clearing your shortlist in the app removes the data held on your device. Shared shortlists are kept so the link continues to work; if you want a shared shortlist deleted, contact us with the share link and we will remove it. If you never create a share link, nothing you enter ever leaves your device except the postcode lookups described above.

Who processes the data

Hosting and cookieless analytics: Vercel. Share-link storage: Supabase. Journey and location lookups: Transport for London and postcodes.io. TrueDigs stores no data with anyone else.

Your rights and contact

Because TrueDigs holds no information that identifies you, there is normally nothing personal to access or erase beyond deleting a share link. If you have a question about your data, or want a shared shortlist removed, email privacy@truedigs.co.uk. TrueDigs is a free, non-commercial project.
